The Romeo to My Juliet

"I can tell" Levi said, still walking over to the spot he'd been sitting in. She had a boyfriend. He had to get trapped in a cave with a girl he couldn't get closed to.

"so.. Twirl around and let me look.." aiya asked.

"It's fine..." Levi grumbled, but turned around, staring out of the cave at the lashing rain.

Aiya grimaced at his back, finding that all the blood made her a bit nauseous. "O-Okay.. be preared.." After a moment, she started to peel his shirt up.

Levi hissed, holding onto a rock. "How bad is it?" he asked. He wasn't able to see it very well, but he hadn't thought it was too bad.

"it's-" She gently placed her finger on it and attracked a clot of blood. "bad.." she managed. "Did i really hurt you this bad..?" she sighed.

Levi shook his head. "The rocks did. I've had worse... just forget about it" he said, trying to pull his shirt down.

Aiya let him, sliding back into her spot in the cave. She hugged herself, freezing, but she didn't want to suggest to use the fire yet. It wasn't even late. "Sorry.." she said softly.

"It's okay" Levi shrugged. It was the nicest any one had been to him in a while.

"How can it possibly be okay?" she gave a shaky laugh. "Your hurt, its storming outside, were trapped in a cave, and nobody knows were here." Plus, i'm stuck here with the son of the worst man alive, who i may or may not actually not mind.. She added to herself.

"Look. The storm will blow over, my back will heal, and we'll get out." he sighed, being oddly positive. "We just have to wait" he said, closing his eyes, ignoring his hunger.

Aiya played with the bracelet Emerald had given her. "I-I guess." She then paused. "wait. I have my phone!"

"Have you got signal?" Levi asked, sitting up a little. Who would they phone?

Aiya pulled out her phone, blinded by its light. "No." she muttered. "But maybe if i go outside, i'll get a better one."

"Don't fall... Hold on to some rocks or something" Levi said, not wanting her to land on the beach.

"right." aiya replied a bit touched by his concern. she crawled out of the entrance and into the pouring rain, which made it nearly impossible to see. still she pulled out her phone and attempted to get a signal. just as she held onto a rock and stood on her tippy toes to try for a better signal, lightning and thunder crashed through the sky, the biggest one yet. giving a yell and closing her eyes, she teetered on the rock ledge and and started to fall. she screamed again and flailed, grabbing onto the ledge at the last second. her phone flew into the sharp rapid waves below. "levi!" she screamed into the wind, hardly unable to hold on.

Levi got up, walking to the ledge. He stuck his hand out, trying to pull her up. "I said don't fall Aiya" he said, straining to pull her up. He watched the waves on the rocks below, and tried to pull her up.

"cause i totally did this on purpose!" she yelled up at him, grabbing his hand tightly, trying super hard not to panic.

Levi pulled Aiya up onto the ledge, falling on to his back. He winced, hissing as his back hit the rocks. He lay, panting with his eyes closed.

Out of breath, Aiya laid ontop of him for a second, then remembered his back. "Sorry.. again.." She crawled off and helped him back into the cave.

"Let's not leave the cave..." Levi said, leaning up against the wall again. It was starting to get colder... "We'll just wait it out..." he said

"O-o-okay.." she said through her teeth, which were chattering uncontrollably. She hugged her wet clothes, wondering if she could pull off the water a second time. "F-f-fire?" Aiya suggested

"I think so..." Levi said, pulling the little pile of sticks and dry leaves nearer the mouth. "I have another idea to get warm but you won't like it" he said, lighting the leaves with his lighter, making sure everything was burning.

Aiya started dragging water off herself. "Wh-what?" she was willing to try anything.

"Well..." Levi said, blowing on the embers to get flames going. "If we stay close together we'll keep each other warm" he said. "I know you have a boyfriend, but not dying from hypothermia is maybe more important" Levi said
