Alice was oblivious to the fact that Christina was joking and frowned, biting her lip. "No, of course not! I was just worried about you and--" She was cut off by a sharp nudge in her side from Melissa. "Oh... You were joking."

"Sorry, probably should have thought that through a bit more." She shrugged, sighing "Why, though?"

"Because you were hurt. That's not reason enough?" Alice's confusion showed on her face.

"No one else there cared, it even took a while for Cat to notice and she's not here.. Why would you be worried about someone you don't know when even my best friend didn't care enough to stay?"

Alice frowned, becoming even more confused. The extent of her sheltered childhood becoming even more apparent. "Why wouldn't they care?" She asked. "That doesn't seem right... Maybe you need a better best friend."

".. So maybe the term best friend is taking ti a bit far, but she's the closest thing I'm going to get.." She stopped, having reached the rental place "Why? I don't know, but I also don't know why they would when no on else does"

"People should care though! Because... Because it's the right thing to do!" Alice protested. The sad part was, that was the best argument she had. "And there are people who care, you just have to find them."

"That doesn't make any sense... They don't have any reason to care what happens to me.." She wondered if Alice would come up with something else to say, leading her in "The closest I have is Bon and that's simply because I help at the grill.." Help, not work. She simply helped in return for free lunch in a place where she wouldn't be quite so alone

"But they should! It's not fair if you have to go through life all alone!" Alice pouted and pushed her strawberry blonde hair over her shoulder. "Who's Bon?"

"I suppose it's just something I've gotten used to.." To her it made sense, she was too used to having to take care of herself "He's the owner of The Bonefish Grill"

"You shouldn't be used to it. It's not fair." Alice shook her head violently at the thought. "Where's the Bonefish Grill? Is it nice?"

"It isn't? Before now, I honestly thought it was the norm" Other people could actually rely on their parents to tell when they got lost at Disney? Well, those lucky ducks. "A few towns over. Pretty good, though Bon could work on getting a better rink menu"

"Well, we're here for a few weeks, maybe we should check it out sometime," Alice said with a grin, looking to her sister for agreement.

"I'll more than likely be there, so might just see you there at one point."
