"I could... try to walk there..." There was no one nearby to drive her and her parents were out of town

"But two towns over? That's so far..." Alice shifted her feet in thought. "If we could get a car, my sister could drive you?" She didn't really want to face her sister -- who was bound to murder her for running off -- just yet, but there wasn't many other options.

"Would she?" She seemed shocked, for some reason not seeing why someone she'd never met would even consider helping her

"I mean, if I asked her nicely and once she's done yelling at me for sneaking off, probably..." Alice shrugged. "It's worth a shot I guess."

"But... why?"

Alice frowned in confusion. "Because your arm is broken and we need to get you to a hospital. We've been over this!" Having lived an extremely sheltered life, it didn't even occur to her that she didn't even know this girl's name, and offering to get her sister to drive her to the hospital was not something that normal people did.

"Bu.. Nevermind, I'm not going to talk you out of this..."

"Why would you want to? You need to get to the hospital somehow, don't you?" Alice said, not understanding where Christina was coming from. "Now come on, my sister's probably looking for me."

Christina didn't bother explaining, just nodding quickly "Y-yeah... let's just go"

Alice had already started walking back the way she'd come, hoping Melissa would be right where she left her. After all, Alice hadn't been gone that long, maybe her elder sister hadn't even noticed yet.
That hope was dashed pretty quickly when a pretty, dark haired girl came running up to them. "Alice!" Her tone was far from impressed.
Quickly, before Melissa could freak out any more, Alice explained the situation.

Christina remained silent, still cradling her arm as Alice spoke. In all honesty, she was still too shocked that Alice even cared that she had gotten hurt to really have a anything to say but how to get to the hospital

After a brief argument in which Melissa tried to explain to Alice that you can't just pick up a random stranger and drive them around -- to know avail -- Melissa hesitantly agreed. "But I don't have a car..." she said.

She repeated what she had told Alice earlier, saying that she could walk and adding "I'm used to it." afterwards. Even when her parents were around she tended to have to take care of herself

"You can't walk! It's too far!" Alice protested, shaking her head at Christina. "We can find a car. There's gotta be a rental place around here or something..."
Melissa had now resigned to just shaking her head. She really should have been used to this behavior from her little sister by now.

"If you say so..." She shrugged "No rental cars in this town, we've only got those weird motorized scooter things." Christina was like some sort of information pamphlet right now, Alice didn't even have to ask a question for her to explain something

Alice grinned. "That could work."
"Mom's going to kill me..." Melissa groaned.

"Maybe." She shrugged, still wondering why Alice even cared that she was hurt

"Where is it?" Alice was now rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet, what she always did when she was happy, and she was happy that she was able to help Christina out.

"Very, very close by." She watched Alice for a moment, even more confused by how happy she seemed to be "I suppose I should lead the way"

"Yes please!" Alice grinned, gesturing for Christina to start leading.

She nodded, leading the way and ignoring most things they passed by. It didn't seem like she was going to talk unless Alice spoke first

Luckily, though Alice was quiet when you first met her, it took almost no time to get her out of her shell, and she spoke up. "What's your name, by the way? I don't think you've mentioned it. I'm Alice."

"Christina, I suppose our meeting could've gone.. a bit better" Chrstina offered a smile, though it was obviously fake. She'd be in a better mood if her arm wasn't broken

"Yeah, better circumstances would have been nice," Alice agreed with a frown.

"Though you didn't seem very willing to talk before I broke my arm, do you only talk to the handicapped?" She said, smiling for real this time. It was just a joke
