Quiris grabbed Preslea, and pulled her so she was sitting on him. He held her hands, hoping to keep her still. "I said stop" he said quietly

Preslea didn't move and didn't breathe. "Sorry.." She whispered and looked up at him. Her lip quivered, hoping that nothing too bad. She could handle Quiris, but couldn't hande too much abuse.

"Good" he said, letting go of her wrists, but making no move to take her off of his knee. He closed his eyes for a moment, realising how tired he was.

"Nah, I'll just get some coffee" Quiris said, shaking his head. He hadn't slept in, well he wasn't sure how long. He just got bits and pieces of sleep here and there when he could.

Preslea nodded and patted his head. "Poor Quiris..Did you know, I can't bare myself to say "father". I just never knew you as that. You were always Quiris Jay, the person you stayed away from, especially if you were a naive, blonde teenager."

Quiris hit her hand away. "Don't pat me..." he hissed, moving her off of his lap. "That's fine by me. I don't really care" he said, narrowing his eyes.
