This time we're not at mystal and we aren't randomly meeting eachother, in fact we've never met (or even talked online). We just so happen to go to the same high school. It's also a boarding school.

I gazed out the window as the car rolled along the road.I noticed the school coming into view as the car was parked.After I said goodbye to my parents and hauled my bags out the car I proceeded through the doors of the school.I walked into the front office were they told me to head to the oriention.I headed there and took a seat,beging to idly play with my hair.

A boarding school.

Just the thought of it was enough to make my stomach drop and a lump form in my throat. The idea was terrifying and strange -- that I, Clarissa, who had, on numerous occasions, expressed her plans to go to a university near home so that she would not have to move out, was being sent to a boarding school.

Where had my parents even gotten this idea? Awkward and quiet, I was unlikely to make friends fast. I could see the future now: me, sitting alone in my dorm, writing in a notebook and listen to the radio, utterly alone. What a lovely thought it was.

Running my hand along the fishtail braid my mother had put my hair into that morning to see if it was coming loose (which it was), I walked into the room I had been told to go to for orientation and sat down, making sure that the seat I chose wasn't too close to anyone else's.

I sighed,gazing around the room,it was filling up quickly.People shuffling in and ploping down into seats.

I gazed vacantly...not really looking at anyhting in particular.I just started thinking...would I make freinds,would I like it at this school...the idea of boarding school had scared me a bit...
and I just sat there,thinking for quite a while.

Why would she send me here? Not only would I be living at the school, it was in a different freaking state. I had thought my mother liked me enough to at least let me stay somewhere near my friends, I wasn't likely to see them for months now. The way I imagined the students at school.... did no make me want to even try befriending them.


I'd never been a social person back home, but now I'd probably be down right anti-social. It's probably better that way, they probably wouldn't like me anyways.

Hurrying into the room, my heart fell when I saw how packed it was. Now I had to sit somewhat near people. Sitting in a seat, the seat on either side of me was empty, I sighed and waited for the orientation to start.

Eventually I came out of my land of thoughts,as someone was siting down in the seat next to the empty seat beside me.I glanced over at her then back down at the ground.Geting anxious about all the people,the strangers I didnt know. I knew no one here... and it would probally take me a while to get up the courage to talk to anyone,unless they talked to me first. Its not that I'm anti-social,I do love to talk.Im just quite socially awkard.

The orientation finally started as I glanced at a red head (your hair is read, correct *is stupid and worried she got confused*) nearby. Realizing how close she was, I felt my voice get caught in my throat and hoped she wouldn't speak to me because if she did, and if I had to reply, my voice would just be an awkward squeak. That was how shy I was.

I quickly turned my attention back to the front, hoping she hadn't noticed my glance, and tried to pay attention to the speaker. Unfourtantly, it was the usual orientation stuff where whenever they actually tried to make it interesting, it was just embarrassing to watch.


(Quick clarification, my sudden super awkward voice squeak isn't juts because of one person. It's the fact I'm surrounded by strangers)

I noticed her glance out of the corner of my eye,I waved to her eyer so slightly Before glanceing up as the orentation started.Grumbling as it was the usual boring orientation stuff.

Seeing her a wave, I forced a small smile and waved back before quickly day dreaming through the entire orientation

I zoned out as the orientation progressed.A mixture of thoughts and random fragments of song lyrics and I subconsiously began humming a random song.

A few students glared when the girl started humming, but I didn't even notice. I jumped to my feet when it was finally over, having trouble believing it had taken so long. Hearing the speaker say something about lunch being soon, I grinned. I hadn't had anything to at all that day.

I was shoved back into reality as loud talkimg and shuffling began I stood up,people pushingnand shoving there was out of the audotorium.I let out a yelp as I was shoved to the ground by an impatient person on there way out.I glared at the person and stood up.

I stared when I saw the girl from earlier fall to the ground, forgetting my shyness and hurrying over "Are you okay?"

"Ya..I think so.." I nodded "people and there impasience..whats everyone rushing out for anyway?"
