Nightmares in the Making Empty
PostSubject: Nightmares in the Making   Nightmares in the Making EmptyTue Jul 16, 2013 9:27 pm

Daray sat in what was apparently the room he was supposed to sleep in, not that he actually slept most of the time. Minette had found something to make it so he didn't need to most of the time. Instead of even laying on the bed, he had dragged a chair into the room and now sat on it, eyes closed and every muscle relaxed as he literally separated himself from his body. Most in his profession had to actually sleep to perform their duties, but they also were still learning how to handle nightmares for kids and really. Kisd were the easiest to weave nightmares for so that didn't really say much about their competence.

Now separated from that meat sack he called a body, Daray drifted about in the realm only dreamers can reach. The realm he twisted into something of his creation. Toying around a bit, he attempted to create a few portals to see if anyone had fallen asleep. Unfortunately, so far no one had. He pouted, that meant he had to wait for his fun to begin! Sighing, he waited a bit and attempted to create another portal which again failed. He couldn't open any until a dreamer entered his world. Once they did, he could create a portal and enter their dream through it..

Or combine a few portals and make more than one person suffer at the same time

Nightmares in the Making Empty

Nessa hated sleeping.

No. That wasn't true, she didn't hate sleeping, she hated what came with it. She was no stranger to nightmares, but that never stopped her from waking from them in a cold sweat, her blankets tangled around her legs and her throat sore from screaming in her sleep. But sleep was inevitable, and tonight she found herself particularly exhausted from nights and nights of staying up as late as she possibly could. As a result, she was asleep at a surprisingly decent time, probably earlier than anyone else in the school.

She curled up in a ball beneath her covers and stared at the blinking red numbers of the alarm clock on her dresser.

And closed her eyes.

Oh hot damn did Roxy love sleeping.

No. That wasn't true, she didn't love sleeping, she loved what came with it. She was a stranger to nightmares, having had four tops in her entire lifetime so far, and adored the calming feeling of a long night's rest to feel energized for the next day of training. Sure, she felt sore upon waking up, but that was quickly solved by more exercise! Forget about the pain with more pain! Hoo-hah!

She laid out on her back with one loose layer of covers, hands resting on her stomach to feel her breathing slowing.

And closed her eyes.

Nightmares in the Making Empty
PostSubject: Re: Nightmares in the Making   Nightmares in the Making EmptyTue Jul 16, 2013 10:21 pm

Daray did his best to wait patiently, moving about the void as he waited fr any sign that dreamers had come. Luckily enough, it didn't take too long and he heard the noise often accompanied by a dreamer, music. The music varied on the dreamer and what they dreamed about, but to him the sound didn't matter. It would change just like their dreams, becoming dark and terrifying. Hopefully he could have one involve extra gore. He loved gore.

Silently, he moved in the direction of the music and once at it's source he opened a portal. It was only once it was open that he noticed more music, right nearby. His lips pulling back into a grin as an idea popped into his head, he opened another portal and silently viewed the worlds before him. After letting the views sink in, he crept reached out, pulling the two portals together, combining them into one. As the portals binded together, so did the worlds. And it was then he started to change the world. First of all, he separated the dreamers. Roxy on one side of the world and Nessa on the other. It was always good to separate the dreamers when you did this, if you didn't they started to think they could go and fight back and then sometimes they actually win, escaping the dream. If that happened all Daray's fun was over!

Next, he begun shaping the world as he saw fit, based of the fears he gathered from the dreamers. For both he started off with something that he seemed to think might scxcvzare them the least. For Nessa he trapped her somewhere small and within something that was near impossible to escape. Hopefully, she would have started to panic by the time she figured out how to get out. Every now and then a loud bang could be heard from nearby in the darkened room, from the sounds of it it seemed to be a gun shooting. For Roxy, and Daray viewed this as a simpler job, he placed her in the middle of a fight, and, as if playing off her fair of losing, it would begin to seem that she was going to lose. And in an act of desperation, one Roxy wouldn't be doing willingly, she would kill the man. Blood everywhere. This would be a part he particularly enjoyed. Blood was one of his favourite things.

Nightmares in the Making Empty

No. Nessa spun in circles, her eyes searching every wall, the roof above her, the floor beneath her, everywhere, for an escape. She was trapped in, from what she could tell, was a tiny room, small enough that if she stretched out her arms to either side of her, her fingers would brush both walls. And there was no door, nor were there windows, and the room was entirely empty.

"Calm down," she ordered herself as the feeling of her heart racing grew in her chest. "There has to be a way out." After all, she had to have gotten in there somehow, right?

Except she couldn't remember how she'd gotten there, no matter how hard she tried. She couldn't remember anything past finding herself in the room.

As though her current situation was not bad enough, the first gun shot could be heard, and she stumbled back with her hands over her ears. Not only did the loud sound make it harder for her to focus on thinking on how to get out, with it came a headache. And a flash of a memory of her father, being shot in front of her.

She had to get out of there. If she could get her thoughts straight.

Nightmares in the Making Empty
PostSubject: Re: Nightmares in the Making   Nightmares in the Making EmptySat Jul 20, 2013 1:03 pm

Daray grinned ear to ear, watching Nessa through the portal and enjoying the show. For the moment he didn't add anything, leaning forward a bit to get a better view. If he wasn't careful, he might fall through it and be stuck in the nightmare himself. While it wouldn't scare or hurt him, it was annoying. Except when the dreamers found him and tried to fight back.

That part was fun. But still, he'd rather not waste energy getting rid of fake wounds when he could simply torment her from afar. After letting her suffer for a while, he made the walls on either side of her close in a bit, making the room even smaller and more cramped than it had been before. He was still going easy on her, not planning on doing anything too fun just yet

Nightmares in the Making Empty
PostSubject: Re: Nightmares in the Making   Nightmares in the Making EmptySat Jul 20, 2013 2:58 pm

Nessa could hear her heart pounding in her ears and she could feel her body shake with fear. It wasn't that she was claustrophobic -- she wasn't at all -- but she was all too aware that the walls were closing in on her and would soon crush her if she didn't escape -- if she could escape.

"Focus!" she reminded herself when another gun shot sent her mind spinning, enveloping it in a foggy sort of feeling that she did her best to shake off. She had to have gotten in somehow, which meant there had to be a way out. She just had to find it.

Before she died in there.

She pressed a palm to the wall and tried to feel for anything, a hidden door, a button, a switch, anything. Though she was trying desperately to go slowly enough that she would be unable to miss it, her fear made her move faster than she intended.
