A Job To Complete Empty
PostSubject: A Job To Complete   A Job To Complete EmptyTue Jul 16, 2013 8:35 pm

Minette found herself in the underworld at the latest hour of night, remaining hidden as she headed to do her duty. While she had been doing this for ages, the 'girl' still hated her job. If she had a choice, she would let whoever this poor sob was this time live, but she didn't have a choice. She had been created for to kill and if she did not perform her duties she would be destroyed. Her very soul, if she even had one, would be torn apart and the same would be done to her body until nothing, not even a single drop of blood, was left. And then they would create a new reaper. The reapers themselves were expendable, her bosses were more than capable of creating a new one.

She had, of course, changed her form so she could make it into Quiris' home. It wasn't a huge change, but it was likely bubbly girls with bubblegum coloured hair weren't the most common thing here so she found it best to be someone else. From what she could tell, the person her bosses had decided she should become was very much alive.. just.. tied up. Literally. They had told Daray to do it and he gladly obliged. It would have been hours until he got to create a nightmare so he jumped at the offer to do something like this.. and probably did more to her than just tie her up. Sometimes, Daray's cruelty bothered her.. and she was the grim reaper for god's sake! She killed people for a living, yet she was pissed every time Daray hurt someone for no reason.

Quiris hummed, making his way over to the sink, to wash the blood off of his hands. It wasn't his blood, no that would be ridiculous, a silly thought that he would be so careless to spill his own blood over himself, in his own home. He watched the water swirl with the thicker red liquid, before drying his hands on a towel. He'd moved back into the big castle, as he'd missed it greatly. Living by yourself was nothing compared to living with serving staff, who had to attend to your every whim. He had his books here, and the greenhouses he owned were a lot bigger than anything that would fit in a standard garden.

He made his way down to the library, servants moving out of his way, bowing as he walked past. He may have not called himself a king, but by hell he was treated like one.
He sat down in the leather chair, a small glass of scotch in his hand, lifting a book, and a pen. He was too tired to notice any sort of presence that normally wouldn't be there, just content reading his book, making notes where he felt necessary.

Minette expected it to be harder to get in, but it was stupidly easy to simply slip in without anyone noticing. She paused for a minute, hesitating before continuing on. While the list told her exactly where the man lived, she had to find which room he was in on her own. Which hopefully wouldn't take too long, she was getting hungry and wanted to go buy cake when she finished and ignore the crippling depression that would no doubt set in after she finished with this.

Luckily enough, it only took a bit of searching before she made it to the right room. For the second time, she hesitated. For a moment she watched what he was doing with a small amount of interest before quietly slipping off a glove.

Quiris heard something and looked up. The servants knew that he was not to be disturbed, and there was no vermin in this castle -he'd made sure of that- so he assumed it was one of his offspring, or someone come to seek guidance of some sort. But frankly, he couldn't give a damn, so didn't call out to see who it was.

Naturally, he went back to his book, pretending he didn't feel the presence near by. It was rather irritating when you were trying to read, and do important work.
