Cy shapeshifted back into himself and ran after Ally. He picked her up and squeezed her tightly. "What's wrong?" he asked, kissing her gently.

"Ally..." Cy said, not looking at her. "That girl was me. Well, me shapeshifting into Aiya." Cy scratched his head. "Though none of that was true, I just wanted to see if you liked me. Okay, that sounded way more mature in my head. I probably sound like an idiot, and I am. But...but I love you." Cy paused. "And I've been moving way too fast and I wanted you to know I'm serious and that you liked me back. And...you do. And I love you."

Ally bit her lip and sat down. "Uh, My mom murdered my dad when I was seven and my mom is a drunk. She'd come home drunk and smack me and my older sister.." She muttered and hid her face. "One of my moms boyfriends raped my sister and I accidentlly killed him.."

"Woah." Cy blinked. "And I thought my family was bad. My mom's dead and my dad's somewhere...I lived with my grandma before I came here. She's really nice, and she seemed to know about the magic and everything. Generations of my family have come here. But I know none of them." Cy looked at his hands.
