Relaxing

Conan was going through the fiction books the school offered, standing on a chair to reach some of the higher levels of the shelf. Being an elf made it hard to reach the books he wanted to look at, but he didn't seem very bothered by it. IN fact he didn't seem bothered by much and instead had the smallest of smiles on his face as he pulled out a large book with 1000s of pages. This was perfect, his favourite kind of book was the one with lots of pages!

Stretching as he stepped down from the chair, he headed off to find a comfier chair to sit in as he relaxed and took a break from dealing with Muse. Running a hand through his slightly shaggy blond hair, he flipped the book open and folded his legs quietly as he started to read

Preslea walked into the library with at least 6 books in her arms. She shuffled through and slowly went down the stairs. She reached the last step only to trip and have books go flying. "EK!' She screamed and hit the ground with a large thud.

Conan considered simply ignoring whoever had fallen, intent on relaxing, but sighed and put his book down and headed off to find out if they were okay. After a moment he came across Preslea and tried to assess if she was okay from afar. Assuming she wasn't too badly injured, he headed over to help her up, remaining silent for the moment

Preslea got up and dusted off herself off. "Um..Thanks." She muttered and hid her face.

He had knealt down, picking up her books and glancing up when she spoke "... You're welcome?" Why thank him? He was just doing what he viewed as something he was supposed to do

She took the books and bit her lip. "Yeah..I'll just go." She grabbed her copy of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe out of his hand and started to put them back. "May I please have your name?" She asked while she put them in their spots.

He stood up from where he was, actually bowing slightly as if he thought he had to be incredibly respectful to the majority of  woman at all times "Conan.. Wright." Wright would have to do, mots humans had trouble pronouncing his actualy last name "ANd you are?"

"Conan..That's an interesting name." Preslea turned around and grinned. "Preslea Clark. I'm kinda new to the area."

"It's quite common where I'm from, actually" His smile return as he classed his behind his back "As am I"

"Hmm..Not where I'm from." She shook her head and chuckled. "I was put here after the bullying got bad. Living in the mortal world and being a witch is pretty hard."

"It's an Elven name, I know multiple men who share it with me" He smile grew a bit, but he didn't chuckle or laugh. It simply wasn't in his incredibly calm nature. Though at the mention of bullying he frowned "I imagine they were probably frightened of the idea of magic, but that isn't any excuse for you to be treated that way." He wasn't good at sympathy

"I don't know anybody who has my name, so I guess you're lucky..Right?" Preslea nodded and got on a ladder to put up the last book up. "They were..It was horrible. This one girl threatened to kill me if i didn't stop making plants grow."

"I suppose so?" He shrugged, leaning against a shelf and moving his hands to his pockets. While he was still calm, he seemed a bit amused at the suggestion that he was lucky to share his name with people. Again he seemed bothered by what she said "And did no one do anything about?"

"Because I couldn't control the magic. My teacher had no control and neither did my parents. I couldn't control the situation. I just lived through it." She shrugged and went down the ladder. "It's over though."

"I'm sure there must have been something to do about people like that, but..." He sighed, nodding his head "I suppose it's true that it's over?"

"There really wasn't . I just had to face it and ignore it." Preslea shrugged and sighed. "Oh, honey..I'm glad it is. That's the past."

"If.. you say so..." He shook his head, but didn't argue the fact "If I had been in your position, I would be glad too."

"So, how long have you known you had magic?' Preslea asked and stood up, finding more books to read.

"My entire life, actually." He replied, shrugging and watching her as she got the books

"Wow, did you grow up around magic all the time?" She asked, very interested.

He nodded in response, explaining afterwards "I'm from the Elven Kingdom." His ears, which were shorter and less pointed than most, had been hidden underneath his hair. It wasn't that he wanted to hide them, it just happened

Preslea turned back to look at him quickly and grinned. "You're an elf?!" She said with bright eyes.

"I am." He said, smiling again as he pushed a bit of his hair to show the tips of his ears

Preslea rushed over to look at his ears. "What? That's amazing!" She smiled and bit her lip. "Whoa, it's almost unreal..."

"If you say so, to me they're just.. ears." He actually laughed slightly, in a better mood than usual. But who wouldn't be in a good mood once done dealing with Muse?
