Zacharie

(This post is probably going to be my worst, but it'll get better I promise xD)

A girl with waist length, curly (slightly poofy might be the best way to describe), blonde hair seemed to be wandering the area. The way she walked made it seem as though she wasn't used to being where she was, though one would never be sure if she was from somewhere far away or if she was simply awkward most of the time. Her face was covered in an array of freckles crossing over the bridge of her nose and doting her cheeks wildly. As she continued to walk she played with bits of hair, her slender fingers tangling themselves in the curls and getting caught in them. It was then that she stopped walking, pausing simple to free her ring finger from the death trap that she called hair, not really paying attention to anyone around her and keeping her brown eyes focused on her finger

"Bonjour," a voice slurs near the girl's ear. It's male, and gives off a tone of a fun-loving jokester without being excitable; it was actually fairly monotonous. The boy slips around her in a flash, and reaches his right hand up to slide the sling of his backpack back high onto his shoulder. He wears a white, baggy sweater with a black heart stitched in the middle of the chest, with matching black-with-white-accents Chucks-like shoes but were obviously off brand. The oddest bit of him was his face--his did not show. In its place was a mask, in the shape of a cat's face. Two ears stick up on each top side, his brownish-black hair sticking up in between them. The mask has two great big dots as eyes, and the mouth is a rectangle with four teeth in the middle and each opposite side colored in black. He smiles, but that is, of course, unnoticeable.

She jumped just as her finger came flying out of her hair, eyes slightly wide. Being a nervous person in general, it didn't take much to surprise or shock her, though she continued to try and continue the facade of being calm. She clasped her hands behind her back, keeping her arms and shoulders relaxed as she took in his appearance, mainly focused on the mask. It was mostly silly little wonderings about things like the eyes, wondering if they were actual holes or just painted on. She was honestly curious as to whether or not the boy could actually see her. After a moment she realized responding would be a wonderful idea and let her left hand fall back to her side and lifted her right to push her cloud like hair back so she could see better, though the moment she moved her hand it fell forward again. She spoke as she did so, her pronunciation of the few words she said rather strange and hard to describe "I.. h-hello"

He tilts his head as he grins. "Je m'appelle Zacharie. Come here often?" He chuckles, tilting his head to the other side. Zacharie stuffs his pale hands into his pockets and rocks back and forth on his heels merrily.

(xD He's more interesting than little miss shy over here)

She bit her lip as he spoke more French, separating some of her hair from the rest and running her fingers through it again "N-No?" The way she answered sounded like she was taking some sort of test and was certain she would get the answer wrong. She then realized that she hadn't responded with her name "I-I'm Serenity, b-by the way"

((WOO.))

Well ain't she just adorable. "Lovely name. Heheh, anyway, want to buy a luck ticket?" he inquires, pulling his backpack off his shoulder and unzipping the top. He digs around inside for a small while before pulling out a maroon folder. He opens it up and pulls out a golden slip of paper out of one of the slips, and then closes the folder once again and slips it under his arm. Zacharie waves the apparent 'luck ticket' in front of her.

Serenity didn't respond right away, waiting for him to get the.. er, luck ticket. She looked at it curiously for a moment, not really wanting to say no because she'd feel bad if she did that. So instead of admitting she didn't want to even know what it was, she gave a small, slightly apprehensive shrug "W-well.. what.. is it, e-exactly?"

"It is a ticket. And it brings luck," he explains to her, slowly, chuckling. He picks up his pack and slings it back over his shoulder without zipping it back up. "Only twenty credits."

Truth be told, Serenity didn't really like the idea of buying some 'luck ticket' from some guy who had nearly given her a heart attack a moment before, but again she would just feel sort of like she was doing something wrong if she said no. So instead of just admitting she didn't want it, she shrugged and attempted to be nonchalant, but it was slightly awkward looking because just about everything she did was awkward "I-I guess it.. wouldn't hurt t-to buy.. just one?"

"Yes! It would not hurt at all. In fact it would bring the opposite of hurt!" Zacharie enthusiastically pulls out a small pouch from his pocket, and clicks it open. "I'll bet it will keep you from stubbing your toe on anything for months. Anyway, that'll be twenty credits." With one hand he holds out the open pouch, awaiting currency, and the luck ticket with the other.
