Hazel was sitting on a bench near the sea port.She gazed off into the distance of the sea.Everything was so calm and quite by the sea,the salty breeze ruffling her dark brown hair that was half inside a beanie and half flowwing free.

Tessa had a wide grin on her face as she walked away from the vender, two honking globs of cotton candy in either hand. As it was the middle of summer, the weather was nice, hot, but humid. AKA, the best time for the summer carnival. Wearing her deep redish purple hair in a high pony tail, Tessa also wore Kahki shorts, which showed off her curvy tan legs, and a purple tanktop, a feathered necklace laying on top to add a finishing touch. As she had lived at the port all her life, she knew how to dress for the weather. Others did not. And as she looked over at the tourists all decked out in jeans and t-shirts, she couldn't help but laugh instead of pity.

Seeing the friend that she had come with by the water, Tessa grinned. "HAZELLL!!!!"

Upon hearing her name Hazel looked up,looking for the source.When she realised it was Tessa,one of her best freinds,her face grew into a grin "TEEEEEESSS!!"

"I got the cotton candy!" she said excitedly, handing her one of the cones while taking a fluffy bite of her own. "mmm!" she smiled.

"Cotton candy!My favorite.Thanks." She smilled,graciously takeing the cone and takeing a big bite.

"Well, duh. thats why i got it." Tessa winked, then looked towards the sea. "Hey, you remember that one time we went boating and almost died?"

"And that is why your the best." She giggled quietly "Oh my god that was a horrific experience..." Hazel gasped as she recalled the events.

"Completly. The boat stopped, and of course you had to lean over the edge." she gave a small glare. "Then you fell off, and i had to jumo and get you... and then the driver fixed it and left us! we had to swing back to shore, thank you very much. Klutz." she lightly tapped her on the head.

"Oh,I rember it vividly.." she sighed,shuddering at the memory. "oh shush your not the most stable either." She teased,playfully shoving Tessa.

Tessa stuck out her tongue. "jerk!" she let out a fake huffy breath and crossed her arms, pretending to be hurt. She then caught a glance at the clock. "Crap! were going to miss it! come on!" Grabbing Hazel's hand, Tessa started to run towards a forming crowd.

"Oh shush" She stuck her tounge out. "Oh,right!" She said and followed quickly after Tessa.

Stopping in front of a large stage, Tessa's eyes lit up in wonder as she gazed at the flashing light. "I can't believe were going to see Kevin Wisk!!!!" she grinned, staring up where the comedian would be soon.

"heh.I know right." Hazel said,smilling and trying to have the level of exitment Tessa had,but couldnt as she wasnt even sure who Kevin Wisk was...

"Liar!" she playfully pushed Hazel. "You'll burn in hell for that, you know" she winked, the statement rather ironic, since she was probably one of the best dang liars in the state.

"Shut up!" she teased "Yea,sure miss.I'v told every lie in the book!" SHe rolled her eyes and stuck her tounge out.

Tessa laughed. "Don't stick you're tongue out, or a bird will poop on it." she gestured up, just as the crowd went wild as Kevin came out.

Hazel giggled and rolled her eyes again.Looking up at the stage when the crowd went wild.

"this guy is so frickin hilarous." she smiled, already cracking up from past jokes.

"Thats cool." Hazel smilled nodding. "Why are you lsughing..he hasnt even said anything yet."

"Cause he just makes me laugh!" Tessa just smiled, and hooked her arm into hazels, waiting for the show to begin.

"See, what did i tell you! hilaroussss!" Tessa was leading the way to the car, two hours later, still wiping away tears from her eyes.

"You were right!" Hazel said,still laughing as they walked out to the car,the sun had set and it was noticabley cooler now.

Tessa shivered a bit, but payed no mind to it, taking out her keys to unlock the door. Not only were they best friends, but they were roomies as well.

Hazel ploped down in the passenger seat and put on her sweater that had been sitting on the seat and put it on.

"So, what should we do when we get back?" Tessa asked, already putting the car in gear and heading home to their apartment. "Its not that late yet."

"Hmm..Im not sure.." Hazel said "But Im sure we'll think of something.." She smirked
