Subject 7

Eric was too busy hiding, rocking and mumbling. He had a lot of totally rational fears.

John sighed, and pressed the button.
Thousands of nanobytes streamed through the ventilation and straight to Eric. They were tiny, and wormed their way into his skin, taking over control.

Eric screamed and writhed, freaking out.

John typed something into the little remote, and the nanobytes closed Eric's mouth and made him walk towards the labs. "I'm quite sorry about this, but you wouldn't come along"

Being able to control my eyes, I glared at him. I was still scared sh*tless though.

"Look. If you don't come along, we'd both get in trouble. So this is benefitial" he said, as he scanned his card, opening the door to the lab.

"What.. did you do to him?" She stared

"Nanotechnology. In other words... Little robots" John said, as anybody who wasn't a scientist didn't understand the technobabble. He often had to use laymans terms.

"Are they controling him?" She asked, not liking the idea

"Yes..." John said quietly, as he held the door to the lab open for them.

"That's.." She walked through, deciding against sharin opinion

"That's...?" John asked, curiosity rising. He didn't know when to stop asking questions. Which seemed to get him in a lot of trouble.

"You'll be mad if I tell you."

"I have a scientific interest. I don't really get mad. I mean, I'd blame myself for asking the question, if I didn't like the answer. Even then, not asking the question wouldn't change the answer, it would just change my knowledge of the answer" John smiled, as he lifted a file.

Tara glanced at the file, still not wanting to tell him, though she did "It's.. terrible. T-taking away someones free will."

(I feel like Tara wouldn't like the sims very much)

"That's exactly what it is" John said, as he sifted through some paperwork. He pressed something else on the remote, and made Eric sit on the table. He injected him with a green fluid, and watched Eric drift off. "Sorry. Extracting nanotech while someone is awake is painful" he said to Tara

Tara was shocked he agreed, watching what he was doing "Will he be in pain when he wakes up?"

"He shouldn't be, if I heal him fast enough" John said, as he lifted a box. He set it on the desk, opened it and the nanobytes flew out, ripping holes in Eric's skin.

She stared, half wanting to hit John over the head because she didn't like this

John walked quickly to a fridge, where he lifted out a tub of cream. He began to rub it over Eric, healing his skin. He washed his hands, before tying Eric to the table.

"Why did you tie him up?"

"He'll be cranky when he wakes up. I'm not strong enough to defend myself" John said weakly. "Here" he said, passing her a file.

Eric was dreaming, having a lovely nightmare about a scenario that was similiar to this, except that he had been awake for it.

"Oh.." That was actually a good reason, not that she agreed with tying him up "What's this?"
