Lore

Basically, I was thinking, I'd like us to make some lore.
Because I adore lore. But for our Mystal universe.

So we could have a history, (maybe no more than like 400 years because that's a lot, we could say there was a plague which killed off loads of people, and then fires broke out and destroyed the records, in a completely convenient way, that sorta shit xD)
basically expanding on wars, disagreements, prejudices between races, events key to species, and making our universe a lot more in depth.
Because, it's not like we're going to get any new members and have to catch them up.

Now, you're probably reading this, and going "oh god Aimee's going to give us all these rules and shout at us if we get crap wrong.
I s2g, no, History is difficult to remember as is. But I just want a little bit of background reading, because I enjoy that sort of thing.

You don't have to join in, if you don't want to. Hell, I can come up with everything and you guys can vote whether it's good enough etc.
I just like you guys being creative, and throwing out ideas.

So basically, I think how we work this, is we brainstorm ideas, and people can take topics that they love (ie, I can do Necromancy, Zan can do Elves) but let other people throw ideas in and we all work together etc

TBH, I just want some lore to read.
We can 'borrow' things from HP, LOTR, Dragon Age, Skyrim, RPGs, JRPGs, Lovecraft, and any sort of fantasy crap.

I don't know if you guys like this idea or what, I was just thinking, since we're doing a new start and all, we could try something new.

You don't need to follow history, your character can be suspicious, deny events, call it tosh, you don't need to reference anything in RPs. I feel a little bit of background could help with new characters, as you could choose where they come from.

I might even make a little map of Mystal land
also we need a name for the damn currency

so tell me what you think on a scale of
"aimee go home ur drunk" to "i wish i'd have thought of that"

I can do the history of Void magic, I suppose. And the history of RBWY even though no one knows what that is but I'll use it eventually.
I vote we call it something like...Caegers or...Bits? Or ah...Ducats? Ivory? Farthings?

Also it might take me a bit but I'm working on the history, religion, and etc for the elven realm/kingdom like I said I would *serious nodnod*

Remember in year one when we didn't know what to call the currency so we just called it ______
and then everyone just kind of stopped caring and called it whatever they wanted?

But I was thinking we could have more than one? Because yanno, world doesn't just have more than one currency. (But like exchange rates the same, or simple numbers)
So like, gold/farthing/bits type money for the older magic places, and then bars/strips/credits for the cities, main new age areas?

I like that. Farthings are the old currency that's still good in some places (like in bigger and/or older businesses or independent sellers of slightly illegal things) and credits can be the one for cities?
