"Thankfully he does most of it for me" Damien said, walking up to the counter.
The cashier raised an eyebrow, but took Damien's money, and placed the head in the bag.

"Wish I had a sibling that did that." I wished longingly.

"Don't look at me" Damien said, holding his hands up, bag under his arm. "...ask your parents" he grinned

I looked in horror. "You kidding me!? The way they have their 'alone time' we'll probably have 50 by the time I'm 18!" I said shuddering some more.

"Ha, you haven't met my dad have you?" Damien asked, giving him a smile as he held the door for him.

I walked through. "I try to keep my distance." I admitted. I was irritated that he hadn't told me yet.

"Oh yeah. Sorry forgot" Damien said. "Well... I was gonna go home... lessons are over..." he said, looking at his watch

"Right. Yeah...." I pulled out my phone.

"So are you gonna face my dad or...?" Damien asked, wondering if he could leave.

"Um...no. I hope not anyway. Look, I really want to know. So why not tell me!?" I asked, demanding.

"Look. I don't want to tell you. I was just delivering some things, and got money and gave it to that man" Damien said simply

"Why? Don't you have a ton of money?" I asked.

"Dad won't give me any. Besides. Not old enough to buy certain things..." Damien smiled

"Oh, like drugs and stuff?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah." Damien shrugged. "Can't buy tobacco yet" he said, which was all he was addicted to so far.

"Oh. I have tried a bit of it. So that guy you were giving the money to is?" I asked.

"Alan." Damien said, even though nobody new the guy's real name. He clutched the bag with the head in it tightly, wondering when he could leave.

"What kind of name is that?" I asked cheerfully. I knew he wanted to go but I didn't want him to go, cause if he did, that meant I had to go to my cousin's house.

"A fake name" Damien said, shrugging.

"Oh. Well, lame name if it was real. Good for an alibi. Easy to forget." I said.

"You don't need to explain to me" Damien said, really wanting to have another cigarette.

"Yeah, I guess." I laughed a bit. I sighed and looked at my shoes.

"Are we going to stand here like idiots? Or actually do something, because I can't seem to get rid of you" Damien said, a little patronising.

"Hey, want me to go I'll go. Hang out with my lame cousin that is." I said.

"Cool with me" Damien said, patting him on the shoulder, as he started to walk back to the school.
